Singing music with a powerful message of God's love has always been a major part of my life and through that channel I fulfill my heart's desire to worship Him.
I pray that the music, information and resources available through my web site minister to those who are lonely, discouraged and burdened down by life's trials.
In November 2007, Bill and I went to Bangkok, Thailand to minister to the people there and to help raise funds for a missions project in Africa. Music With a Mission truly is about changing lives around the globe one anointed song at a time!
In the fall of 2006 Bill and I also had the chance to use my music to do just that in the country of Romania. Romanians, especially, are so hungry for spiritual fulfillment. Read more on the Romania page.
After returning from Romania we received this letter:
Dear sister Cissy,
We greet you from Focsani, Romania, from Grace Church where you gave us the sound system. We always remember your family and we pray that God will pay you for your good things that you do. We are not anymore in that small house. You have found a new location, a big room and with our small posibilities (because we are few) we've made to buy chairs. We still need financial help because the rent is big and we want you to pray for us, for the church who was born, for God to help us to pay the rent and the ministry to became bigger and bigger.
Thank you for your sustain
The Munteanu Family
Ed: If anyone would like to help the Focsani church financially, please send your donation to Helena First Assembly, 2210 Dodge Ave., Helena, MT 59601, addressed to Music With a Mission. Write Focsani Church in the memo and 100% of it will go to them.
Coming later in 2008: My next sing-along children's story book, The First King of Rock. Keep checking back for more news.

I was born in Illinois and raised on a church pew. My father was an Assembly of God pastor in the 1950s and 60s. (He's gone on to be with the Lord..) He would put us kids on a stool on the platform to sing when we were barely able to talk! That must be why singing is second nature to all of us! We love to sing praises to Jesus!
We moved to Florida when I was eleven years old.
When my three older sisters became teenagers, they began to sing together and called themselves "The Grigsby Sisters." My oldest sister, Janet, married and moved away a few years later. So I joined with my sisters Brenda and Carolyn and kept the Grigsby Sister trio on the road. We had a live band and we traveled around Florida doing services (in all different denominations), concerts, political events, you name it. Wherever we could share the gospel of Jesus in song...we pretty much went! Including the band members and their families we had over twenty people traveling with us!
Most of our concerts were close enough to home that we could go and be back in the same day. Those were awesome days! We never grew tired of ministry! (Unlike today; travel in Montana and across the nation often takes us on extended stays: an overnight stay or more, and many times involves an airline ticket!) It was then and still is exhilarating and rewarding! Our mother (as any mother would be who loves the Lord) was in her glory when we were singing! We recorded our first album in 1983.
I've been married to my high school sweetheart, Bill, since 1971 and we have three married daughters and ten grandchildren. Today, all of our children are serving the Lord and many of them are serving in ministry in one aspect or another from pastors to lay people, actively involved in "doing the will of their father." God is so good! It's nothing we've done....it's God's grace and mercy that allows us the joy and the freedom to serve Him!
In 1990 my family and I felt the "call of God" on our lives to move to Montana. We continue to live in the capital city, Helena, where we are active members of First Assembly of God. I taught a Sunday School class for Young Marrieds for over ten years and Bill and I taught several "Married For Life" courses to couples of all ages. We continue to be involved in ministry (when we're home) at our local church. I hold "Ministry Acknowledgement Papers" with the Montana District Assemblies of God for my music ministry, "Music with a Mission."
We have been traveling and ministering across the United States since 2003. I recorded my first solo CD in 2004 and finished my last one in October 2007.

Bill and I have three daughters, Angie, Amy and Cari. Angie is married to her high school sweetheart, Mike, and they have five children. Tyler, Kaylin, Bryce, Trestin and Kamri. Amy married her college sweetheart, Jed, and they have three children named Kyndall, Lauryn and Sydney! Cari is married to her college sweetheart, Brian, and they have two children, Saylor and Jaxsen. All of our daughters live close by so we are very blessed to be able to see them and the grandkids often! We are a very close-knit family and are not only family but "best friends."
I am very proud of my family and I would like to let you all get to know each of them. So, from time to time I will feature a member of my family here on my Family Feature Page.

God has placed a definite call on my life to sing and share the message of His great news. I am propelled forward by the anointing of the Holy Spirit and through that channel have witnessed life-changing transformations during services and retreats!
I truly believe music penetrates the innermost core of every human being. It possesses a language all its own, ministering healing and encouragement. Many among us are discouraged and are looking for a relational God. I seek out opportunities to share a very personable Jesus through song and devotional thoughts, utilizing video and music presentations along with testimony.
My music style spans from Contemporary to Southern Gospel. Singing from my heart to others exposes my vulnerability and my strengths; all which I receive from Jesus Christ who enables me. People want to see and hear someone who is real and approachable. This is the person Christ has called me to be.

Christian Music is my life! It's what I start and fill my day with! Whether I'm driving, working, just hanging out or whatever. Music is always playing in my head (even if it's not playing on the radio or cd player!) My children used to say "mom, do you have a song for everything?" My response to them would be, "Yes, just about!"
I've never really thought about what style of music I sing! I've just always listened to Christian music, heard a song I liked and purchased the accompaniment CD! To be honest, I like just about all styles of Christian music! Most important to me is the lyrics. If the song has no message....I can't sing it!
I want the listeners to be able to understand what I'm saying and who I'm singing about. I've heard lots of beautiful music but couldn't hear or understand the message in the song, so obviously, it didn't touch my heart. If I'm going to sing about Jesus, I want what I'm singing to truly minister to the listener!
Not too long ago, I wrote a song and felt the Lord leading me to "cross the generational line" and ask a 16 year old young man named Bryan Wood to see if he could put music to it for me! He did it and in my opinion did an awesome job! I liked it so much that it is the title song on my "Wonder" CD. God has been definitely doing a new thing in my life and opening doors for ministry I never dreamed possible.
But it doesn't stop there either. My children's read-along/sing-along story book is called Singing With Noah. This hardbound book is great for snuggling up with your little ones to read. It also includes a CD with me reading the story and singing a special version of the song, "Singin' in the Rain" from my He's Everything CD.
My CD, Sweeter As the Days Go By came out in the fall of 2007. And I have another children's read-along/sing-along storybook on the way. This one is based upon the life of David and once again it features the wonderful illustrations of Mary Whitaker.
If God is speaking to your heart right now to leave the comfort of family and home and share the gospel, if He is calling you to do a work for Him, let me encourage you not to be afraid. Time is of the essence! In Matthew 24.. Jesus is speaking to the disciples, "Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, I am the Christ, and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains." (Can we not see all of this happening today)?
We can not afford to let lies be spoken for truth to those who have never heard the truth about God's word nor can we afford to sit around and wait for someone else to "pick up the torch" and run with it! Jesus is coming soon and it's our job to get busy and share truth with a lost world! You are not too young or too old to work for Him! You don't need a "workers permit", or a "drivers license" to prove you're old enough, or a "gold watch" or wrinkles to prove you're retired! All you need is a willing heart and the voice of God inside of you calling you to "step out in faith." He wants us to be available. He'll provide the ability! You just have to take the first step and He'll be there to reveal the next one to you! Whether it be singing, preaching or just witnessing to a friend or neighbor, DO IT! I believe God will honor your faithfulness!
